I created the dramaturgy for  João Godinho’s  piece O Marionetista, for string quartet and saxophone. It’s a piece that explores the timbrical and musical gestures common points between the saxophone and the quartet.

So the saxophonist behaves like a puppet master and the quartet’s musicians are his puppets. Out of this hierarchy, we tried to develop the relationships that are created between a manipulating being and the manipulated, both in a musical and gestual way.
This piece was premiered on august the 1st at the Festival da Musica de Costa de Estoril, by OrchestrUtópica.

Short movie “Catharsis Primal” is based in my idea, with script by Gui Campos, Jose Carlos Arboiro, Joan José Arenas and myself.

It was done after the music of an improvisation I did toghether with electric guitarr player Nacho Mur.

Madreluna

I have told tales and sang theatre-cafe songs togheter with the story teller Teresa Grau. The duo was called Madreluna. I owe a lot to this kind of work, because thanks to it I have and I will allways keep a narrow relationship with story telling. I never thought I would do that myself and it opened amazing and unforseen doors to creativity.

Togheter with her I did music and story telling at La Paz Hospital, for children who are very ill, and we even got to record with them a CD called “Cuentos y Cantos Sanadores” (Healing Songs and Tales). We participated in the campaing “A Partes Iguales” – en la vida domestica y familiar- (Equal parts in domestic and family life), and had the chance to perform more than 30 shows all over Madrid. We also did storytelling shows like “Encuentadas”, a performance he did in various theatres and libraries in the city, as well as café Libertad 8 and La Flauta Mágica.
